Rough Drafts with Potential
A monthly info dump on: The Tea (gossip), what I’m watching, what I’m reading, what I’m working on, and Thoughts I Be Thinkin’. These may show up later as polished media crit pieces or actual published essays.
Also, occasionally blogs on writing and editing!
Why is your blog called “Rough Drafts with Potential”?
You know how you’ll get an email sometimes, and at the bottom, it’s like, “Sent from my iPhone – forgive typos”? This is kind of like that. I work a full-time job on top of offering freelance editing and creative services, so if I had to face a polished monthly blog, it would simply never happen.
Plus, I have a folder in my Google Drive called “Rough Drafts with Potential” where I go to write without pressure. This blog is named after that folder to take the pressure off. Of both of us.
You can rest easy knowing that these blogs were definitely not created with AI. The occasional typo will serve as proof. (I also hope to show that even great writers—hair flip—need great editors. A second pair of eyes go a long way.)
Also! Occasionally, I’ll write actual bits of writing/editing advice on here. I know, whaaaat!

2025 Wrapped
Normally, this blog will include monthly recaps, but it’s the end of the year, which means it’s time for my Spotify-style “Andie Wrapped,” involving: The Tea of 2025, What I Watched in 2025, What I Read in 2025, What I…
An Homage to Past Blogs
Remember up there, when I was like, “I couldn’t handle facing a polished blog every month”? I said that because i have tried, twice, to write themed content consistently. I didn’t know my niche then (which is narrative, culture, and philosophy—yes, all three), and that is partly why I simply could not keep up with the workload I inflicted on myself.
Here’s an homage to past blogs I have worked on, to showcase my work and my improvement over the (lemme check my watch) decades. Prison Cellulite is about feminism, while Puzzle Peace covers comparative religion.
